Blood Tower
Fort defense entails the various tactics and positions the clan uses to defend it's fort from onslught. When the highest ranking orc in the fort orders “Furt Defenz!” all orcs must get into position as fast as possible and remain there until the order “Furt Defenz Ober!” is given.
The fort has it's own set of rules that must be carried out and obeyed at all times
A line up is when the orcs assume formation within the fort facing the Grunt platform. Only Grunt or Mojoka may stand here freely. The orcs should form the line with a two tile gap between them and the platform. Mojoz should form a line on the east side of platform and not line up with the Klompurz.
“Ebriash lyne ub agh fayze furward!”
The line up rules must be followed otherwise you will be klomped or made to run laps!
The front trap is the main entrance of the fort. The bulk of defense will take place here and it must be fully manned before other positions are filled. The pathway is kept clear to allow movement into the trap and fort proper. Orcs in the front trap must remain hidden until the trap is engaged.
3-4 Orcs
The standard front trap consists of three or four orcs in a line with two orcs always guarding each curtain. This is the basic requirement for the trap to work properly.
“Git en frunt trap agh hidee, keeb centur kleer!”
5-6 Orcs
A full front trap will be loaded with five to six orcs with the additional two orcs taking position in the tiles adjacent to the main line. The additional orcpower allows for greater crossheal and krimp ability.
“Moar klompurz meenz faztur flat ommies!”
4-6 Orcs
Orcs may also stand on the outsides of both curtains and perform a curtain trap. The intent being that the orcs outside the front trap will block the outer curtain and the front trap orcs will block the inner curtain. This creates a devastating krimp that many enemies cannot escape from.
“Dub orkz agh ash skah'd ommie!”
When an enemy enters the front trap the two orcs in the curtain positions close off the curtains so that escape is not possible. The other orcs in the trap coalesce onto the target to restrict their movement and kill.
“Krimp em! Dem nub gitten owd alibe!”
Often times a smart enemy will know what awaits them inside the front trap. They will taunt the orcs by standing in the curtain but not entering. The orc outside the curtain will move to block them with their body and/or a box allowing the target's quick demise.
“Dey tink id sayfe frum krimp en da kurtain, Har!”
Likewise an enemy may attempt to run through fast enough that the orcs inside cannot trap in time. The orc guarding this curtain can already be in position to block and box making sure they do not enter the fort proper.
“Em kuldn't ruhn thru kwik enuff!”
Archer Wall
The Oligur wall consists of the two main front walls. Only when the front trap is properly defended can any Oligur orcs take up this section. The orcs here should form their own party and designate someone to call targets.
1-6 Orcs
The south Oligur Wall is the largest of the two and tends to be the main one for quick shifting to the north wall and south gate. Orcs will form a line and remain hidden until they can let loose on a target at once. The wall is equipped with ramps for quick retreat and resumption of fire.
“Shuut ad sayme tyme agh wadj dem ommiez flat!”
1-5 Orcs
The north Oligur Wall while slightly smaller and further away from center of fort can be readily garrisoned for threats in it's direction. Function is the same as the South Oligur Wall except it allows fire inside the front trap when necessary to aid the orcs there.
“Dem kummen frum da nurth! Oligurz entu pozitiun!”
The South Gate should always be garrisoned by at least one experienced orc. This position can be the bane of a fort defense and should be used to block any attempts at entry with boxes and field spells. The orcs there should call for reinforcements if a large push is attempted. In that case Orcs should block the front trap with a box and intercept any enemies at the gate.
“Lat nub kumen en. Nuw lat git klomp'd!”
There are several ramparts in the fort that are for Mojo use only. These spots allow Mojos to cast helpful spells to further trap or hamper enemies. Oligurz should not stand in these spots and interfere with the Mojoz duties.
“Dez da mojo spotz, nub get en wei!”
