======Raiding====== =====Leadership===== When raiding one orc who is a Klompur will be designated the raid leader. Typically the Warbozz or a Grunt. If there is no officer rank present then even junior members may organize a small hunting party. It is considered bad form for a Mojo to lead as they are adjuncts to the Klompurz and must focus on their support duties. ====Commands==== The clan makes use of a few keyword battle commands to help guide the horde in combat. It is the duty of Gruntz to relay the raid leaders commands to all members so that the horde may work in unison. The rank and file should be on the lookout for these commands and execute them without hesitation ===Battle Commands=== * **CHARGJ or KUJ: Charge**\\ Charge forward violently to shock the enemy and break up their position * **FURWARD or FUS: Forward**\\ Follow raid goth to next position * **BAK: Back**\\ Fall back to previous position * **RETREED or RUT: Retreat**\\ Retreat to the initial defensive position * **HIDEE or HYD: Hide**\\ All orcs are to hide in position * **OWTZIDE: Outside**\\ Occupy position outside current defensive structure * **ENZIDE: Inside**\\ Occupy a defensive structure and dig in =====Raid Spots===== Almost all raids start off from an easily fortified spot in which to defend and krimp. =====Positions===== ---- \\ Occupying set positions is a way for the horde to extend beyond their defensive spot and engage the enemy in the open while maintaining group cohesion and control of the field. The defensive spot can always be considered position 0 and is the springboard for any further positions. === Battlefield Map === \\ {{ :uo:guides:positionmap.png?nolink |}} Here is an overhead map of this raid. The red numbers indicate positions actually held in succession while the purple ones indicate possible positions that can be occupied. The blue arrows represent the main body of enemy resistance. Note that from position 0 all future positions can be held in response to this main body. === Position Zuth === \\ {{ :uo:guides:position0.png?nolink |}} This is the fortified start point of a raid. Orcs maintain krimp and formation inside ready to deal with any onslaught. If the enemy doesn't attack or begins to build up then an order to charge or move outside to position ash is given. == Position Ash == \\ {{ :uo:guides:position1.png?nolink |}} Held right outside the defenses orcs can quickly fallback if counterattacked. Otherwise orders to hide and krimp will be given and a general exchange of blows begins. Once the enemy loses numbers or retreats a forward or charge order will be given to occupy position dub. == Position Dub == \\ {{ :uo:guides:position2.png?nolink |}} In this forward area resistance should be sparse and mop up operations can commence. The enemy may reorganize and counterattack in force. This can necessitate a back order to position ash or a full retreat to position zuth. Caution should be advised as the horde is overextended at this point and should only move this far out if the enemy has suffered losses and not retreated with their full strength. == Other Positions == \\ In this example raid the horde has the option to push to position gahk if enemy forces are holding out in that area. It should be held for a short duration to claim further casualties or bait the enemy. If the enemy is coming from the south then another position dub can be taken. The direction of the enemy approach can change quickly and orcs must be quick to fall back and consolidate near their initial defense. With this battlefield system the horde can occupy and hold the raid area surrounding the raid spot and respond effectively to changing variables in combat. Rigid adherence to this system should be avoided as the flow of combat should be organic and develop where necessary. \\ =====Dungeons=====
