we MUST check out this shard!!!!!

It is called uoforever and is about to launch sometime between jan 11-18th and it is currently in open beta. It is a piece of cake to log into, I just used my hybrid client, changed the server addy and port number on razor and logged right on. The shard has a UO:R ruleset it will have modern housing, bulk order deeds etc. Skill gains are decent for warriors but as they wish to keep crafters valuable, the crafting skills are a slow go. Personally, I am loving everything I see so far.

It really does look interesting. I ran down to the Yew Orc Fort and the Kleering area was AWESOME!!! They had a maze full of Orc NPCs like Orc healers and Orc Blacksmiths...The maze is perfect for defense with narrow passage ways and traps...really cool...My big issue is the population did not seem to be there...not sure if it is just because it is Beta or whatever...

I think it is just because it is Beta, once word of this server gets around it should grow like mad. Even the red death penalty is decent, jail instead of stat loss, and even then jail is a max of 3 days for like 50 murders. It is as if they took the best parts from all of UO and blended them together, I don't mean to sound like a salesman but damn...

Just did the chest, it had nothing in it, perhaps they are not activated yet.

Ahh I see, yea they have champ spawns going but they do not give power scrolls during beta so likely the same mechanic

makes sense really.

they have power scroll on this shard, well once it goes live?

they are only for crafting and barding...nothing that would affect pvp...and the bard ones are just to increase the time of your provoke...Good to see you Mur...

so listen I have a guy that I played Siege with he wants to make an Orc along with like 4 other folks for UOF...amazing...

Just saw that down from the heart shaped piece of land near the fort there is a ruins, the hag is there giving out quests, I rmember doing them from live servers but can't remember where to kill imps at.... I do remember it being fun to some extent and profitable.

Heck the best place for the imps then was Illeshnar...here Hythloth? I cannot remember...hag was the best place to farm for high end krysses though...she used to give vanqs out like crazy....hmm that can be another place we can claim.

I remembered Aya, found them at the hedge maze. :)

Also, I wonder if I m in deep shit with uoforever admin.... I placed a custom house at the fort and it won't delete.... All I get is a system message saying 1 gold piece has been placed in your bank box and to contact a GM to delete the aos house.

Bah they will probably give you something since you found a potential bug...

Nah, I found it posted already... bleh, hope I did'nt piss them off by placing when it was known "to them" that houses would'nt demolish.

I was the one who built that whole town :D
